Each dog has its day
Today is definitely hers , I say
That look in her eyes-victory
That air around her-superiority
That tinge in her words-confidence
That sarcasm in her thoughts-defiance
It indeed ended there- with defiance
It ended there where it started
I saw, I wept at betrayal so common
I wondered, I cried at the shamelessness on the run
I peeped from the corner of my eye
I ran away lest I be caught as a spy
I saw through the glass, opaqueness there was
I saw through the wood, clear it was
A spoilt friendship, mixed with inferiority wars
A box full of secrets thrown open to be fed to the dogs
A cross connection with all those who were once mine
A double faced battle with that artificial shine
Heavens! Good Lord! You Bitch! You haven’t seen the end of me.
Today is the day of your beginning, I clearly see
But you haven’t noticed I believe
The woods end just where you start to leave
I have the whole jungle to me, you will soon see
Because seriously bitch, you haven’t seen the last of me.
Just an after thought: a broken friendship teaches more than a broken heart. For the latter, we have an excuse “love is blind”, for the former, we have none.
